A Word From The Author
That picture isn’t me, it came with the design, but it kind of looks like my shining personality. A little ragged with a smirk.
This series has been through the wringer. My Patreon people can attest to that. (Join Patreon for much cheaper books and my new writing in action.) I am not going to take you down it’s complicated past. I am going to make it as easy as I can. What I have done over the years.
1. Made one gigantic overarching serial from book to book.
2. Realized serials don’t sell when they are novels in themselves, and tried to make a series.
3. Failed because missing components. Realized it was a soap opera serial and not every story had an ending before the next published serial of them.
4. Attempted to finish every story, but alas, some stories blended into each other.
5. Give up for awhile.
6. Attempt to make novellas of at least the novella stories that did complete and hook them with their arches.
7. Watch print price go so high up, it’s impossible to give a good deal on novellas without making any profit.
8. Turned them back into basic novels instead of chunky novels, got rid of the unfinished stories to save them, add new endings to stories that were nearly complete, and resigning to adding a new series collection to finish off the unwritten of the unfinished stories.
9. Changed everything from Serena Walken back to Melanie Ray, to make the transition easier. Much, much easier.
10. New website with Melanie Ray. New covers with Melanie Ray. New email address with Melanie Ray. Fixing Patreon with Melanie Ray. Fixing other book series with Melanie Ray (Lost Secret Series.) So, yeah, it’s been through the wringer, but it’s back, and better than ever. Seperated into novels with new prophecies, new names, better story layout, and not overly chunky.
